                In the emerging world system known as the age of information explosion, with the advancement of science and technology, communication tools have become an integral part of human life. Lack of knowledge of the necessary skills for the optimal use of the media and the lack of special rules to ensure the rights of audiences and users, especially cyberspace users, leads to numerous harms such as invasion of privacy. In this article, relying on existing laws and information technology knowledge, we examine the impact of media literacy on privacy in the media. In the present article, Research Method is the descriptive-analytical method by library studies and Internet sites. With the increasing expansion of the media, the privacy of individuals, whose importance has always been emphasized in the legal, religious and social systems, has been attacked due to lack of awareness of media literacy, including cultural, defamation, fraud, etc. It seems that by developing protection laws within the framework of special law, media literacy training through mass media and also by promoting information technology knowledge, the privacy of individuals is effectively ensured.
